That pretty much says it all.  But you don’t have to have a car to be a member.  Maybe you just want to be around these cars, learn about them or just hang out with the Club.  We don’t care, as long as you have “The Passion”.  Because Passion is what we are all about.  So get behind the Club – check out the awesome web page that Clint has put together.  Use it for advertising or for spreading the word.  Let’s make this club HAPPEN!  Now for the business:

Memberships are due August 1.  Annual membership is $60.  Please send your check, made out to Resurrected Relics, to:

There are a few of you that have filled in your Membership Application Forms, but haven’t paid yet.  You know who you are!!! Please send $70, and you will receive your T Shirt and Key ring.

There are lots of reasons to get your memberships in as follows:

1. Club registration.  For those of you with Club (Special Interest) rego, keep in mind this statement from Qld Transport’s web page “Club membership:  Registered operators are expected to retain current membership of an incorporated car club”.  So if you let your Club membership lapse, you could be in trouble if you get picked up and are checked.
2. Insurance.  If we are to have regular Club Events, we must have liability insurance.  This will cost around $1,000 a year.  Without it, we are walking on thin ice if a member of the public gets injured at an event.
3. Club Events.  If we have some funds we can do more things.  It costs money to hire venues, buy food and drinks, advertise etc.
4. Club Image.  T shirts, key rings and other items all cost money.  The joining fee of $75 is barely enough to cover the cost of the T Shirt and key ring.  It would be nice to be able to buy such things as car stickers, a Club banner for events etc
5. Newsletters.  We are hoping to send out a regular newsletter, and that costs money for stamps (for those without e mail).

So please support the Club and get your memberships in as quickly as you can.  For those members who have joined in the last 3 months, we will just carry your membership forward.  In future, new members will be pro rated so that we will always have an August 1 due date for annual memberships.

Remember to wear your Club T shirts.  

We are going to try and have as many Club runs as we can - at least 4 times a year, depending on the support that we get.  Additionally, we will invite other Car Clubs on our runs.  Always remember that if we have something on, and others participate, then we are all winners.  THE MORE NUMBERS THAT WE GET, THE BETTER THE EVENT.  If you have ideas for activities or places to go to, let us know.  Just use the form on the 'Contacts Us' page or send an email to dave@usmusclecars.com.au or shane.delaforce@bigpond.com.au with your ideas.  Or give us a call – Dave – 0439396900, Shane 3888 2088 with your ideas.

At the last Club Meeting at the Californian Image Show, we expanded the Committee.  Dave Holman dave@usmusclecars.com.au has taken on the role of Treasurer and Communications Coordinator.  And we have added:

Dave’s is the only :”Titled” position because we have to have somebody authorized to sign the checks and manage the $!  Your new Committee hopes to have your support in running the Club.  Lets get behind then and support Events.
