On a glorious autumn morning, about 15 Club members took a run out to Toorbul for a great barbeque breakfast.  The run started at the Matilda in Narangba, and proceeded up the highway to Toorbul.  We sure stopped the locals in their tracks as we rumbled up to the picnic area.  A few thousand horsepower makes quite an impact on a quiet Sunday morning in a sleepy little town!  Once we arrived we were treated to a great breccy of snags, bacon, eggs and pancakes - cooked in part on the new Club barby.  Thanks to Shane and Cindy for getting it all together.  We are going to do the same thing on October 12 so make sure you come and enjoy the fun.

17/08/08 A glorious Sunday morning for the Club Observation Run and Auto trivia quiz.  It was a really good run, and we have several new members to make welcome.  So we met at Chooks (Matilda) at 8.00 am with a view to a 9 am kick off.  It was great  time to grab a coffee, and shoot the breeze.  The halfway marker turned out to be a great little coffee shop to grab a cuppa and some brekky, as the anticipated time to complete the first half was very differential in times taken (quicker than expected by the organisers), this gave us all a little extra chat time.  Brekky and coffee over and done with, on with the second half of the run by 11.30'sh.

The second half was more testing to people as it was not mentined in the instructions that a particularly long road actually changed names along the way. In the end all parties ended up at the correct destination eventually after a few phone calls to parties who were MIA.  (don't worry we wont mention you by names). It was a great turnout and fun was had by all.

A big thank you to the distance travellers who came from as far north as Gympie and the south side of Brissy it was good to see the members make the effort. We just need a couple more members to make the effort.

Thanks to the people who put together the route and questions for the navigation run. Also for those involved in the complilation of trivia questions for along the way. Muchly appreciated folks.
